  • To build on their understanding of how to use acrylic paint to create a range of tone and detail

  • To explore a range of shoe designers and look at cultural links to shoes
  • To understand the importance of the design process of making a product
  • To look and understand about the functionality and aesthetics of a shoe
  • To learn about how to create a 3-dimensional shoe using a range of materials
  • Evaluating and refining work
  • Exploring different types of typography and looking at the importance of having a wide range of different types of lettering and numbers
  • Developing drawing skills/formal elements
  • Developing typography design skills in a variety of materials
  • Looking at different artists who use typography in their work
  • Construction skills for 3-dimensional work
  • They will use these skills to create a 3-dimensional sculpture of lettering and numbers connected to their personality and identity
