At Darrick Wood School, we believe that studying Business should equip our students to provide a curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity and critical thinking, while preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Out Business Studies curriculum will encourage students to think independently and work collaboratively, developing their confidence and resilience as they explore the principles of business, finance and entrepreneurship.  We will provide opportunities for students to engage with real-world issues, using case studies and practical activities to build their understanding of the economic and social forces that shape our world.  Above all, however, we will seek to focus on developing students’ decision-making skills, by exploring quantitative and qualitative decision-making models and relentlessly practising the art of business decision-making in the classroom and beyond.

Ultimately, our goal is to enable our students to become responsible and ethical leaders, equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers and to make a positive contribution to society.  By providing a rigorous and engaging Business Studies curriculum, we hope to inspire our students to become lifelong learners and confident, capable leaders in the business world and beyond.
