At Darrick Wood School, we give all pupils the opportunity to experience Dance, breaking down gender stereotypes, through physical and creative activity. Thus, helping young people to unlock their innate creativity, enabling them to become more rounded and confident human beings.

Dance enables young people to gain artistic skills and discipline, as well as developing their ability in physical interaction, team working, problem solving, observing, evaluating, verbal and non-verbal communication
