Art & Design

“Art is a line around your thoughts”

– Gustav Klimt –

Subject Vision and Intent

Art skills and techniques need to be taught and developed in Key Stage 3 to lead up to creating confident GCSE and A level artists.  The idea of art not just being about drawing, gains art appreciation and understanding.  Our playful approach of exploring a range of materials is in the effort to inspire imagination and interest in the subject.  The exploration of a wide range of materials, techniques and processes helps embed the skills and creativity that we want our learners to leave with.
